¿ªÔÆÈ«Õ¾appÏÂÔØ held a ribbon cutting for its new Emergency Department (ED) computed tomography (CT) system Dec. 6.
The addition of a CT machine in the ED allows for more immediate diagnostics and treatment for critical brain injuries like stroke — especially for patients arriving via ambulance or hospital transfer.
As a certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, ¿ªÔÆÈ«Õ¾appÏÂÔØ is recognized for meeting the highest standards of stroke treatment. Being able to provide advanced diagnostics where emergent stroke cases arrive helps ensure patients are receiving the highest level of care and that we are prepared to meet future, more rigorous care standards.
All patients deserve expert, timely care — especially for critical emergencies. The ED CT allows ¿ªÔÆÈ«Õ¾appÏÂÔØ to fulfill this commitment the emergency department to the hospital room.
The new ED scanner went live on limited schedule Sept. 5 and began 24/7 service Oct. 1.
