Cancer Social Work Services

Psychosocial Services at 开云全站app下载 provides support to help patients and their families navigate the dynamics that surround receiving healthcare.

Our licensed clinical social workers evaluate and address a number of issues related to all aspects of care, including:

  • Adjusting to illness
  • Substance abuse
  • Psychiatric symptoms and disorders
  • Family and relationship issues
  • Financial limitations and insurance
  • Social support

Our goal is to evaluate and address patients’ concerns with planning, decision making, and support related to their healthcare; help them gain coping and stress management skills; and foster improved communication with their medical team.

Our Cancer Services

Engaging with Psychosocial Services can help decrease rates of anxiety and depression before, during, and after cancer treatment.

Services offered in our outpatient adult cancer center include:

  • Distress screening
  • Medical case management
  • Individual and family emotional support
  • Community resource referrals
  • Care coordination
  • Short-term individual psychotherapy
  • Palliative care and hospice care referrals
  • Chaplain services for spiritual support
  • Advance care planning/healthcare power of attorney
  • Disease psychoeducation
  • Healthcare system advocacy
  • Workplace benefits/rights navigation
